Appreciation

George Leroy Dale

Question

I am not appreciated by my family or friends, even though I am always doing nice things for them. How can I gain their appreciation?

Answer

To expect others to do as you wish them to do may bring antagonism into your life even though your outward acts seem beneficial. Claim appreciation for your good work from God, not from humans. In all human relationships ask God to direct you, and you will not be doing things for others which many times they might prefer to do for themselves. We do not have the right to interfere with another's physical actions unless our own rights are being interfered with.

Say often:

Divine intelligence and divine love govern me in all human relationships; my soul is satisfied in God's way and I am rewarded by the Spirit. I appreciate God and spiritual man, and I am appreciated.
