October 2009 Pilgrimage to Unity from Unity Church of the Hills

It was in the Fall of 2008 at Unity Village when I observed the spirit-filled and fun-loving group from Unity on the Lakeshore led by Rev. Marchiene Rienstra. Rev. Marty shared with me that it was a "pilgrimage to Unity" and the her congregation had spent months in preparation for the event.

It was then that I came to understand that Unity can provide a welcome, but a visit to Unity can only become a "pilgrimage" by the sacred intention of the group. Rev. Marty and the people of from Douglas Michigan really inspired me and many others who were there.

A year later, in the Fall of 2009 we had our own Pilgrimage to Unity from Unity Church of the Hills. The photographs are sweet memories for the 12 pilgrims who spent a week together at the Village.
