Thanks and Dedication
I am grateful to all who have become my friends and colleagues in ministry. Every email, phone call, video meeting, and time together over coffee has made this business of ministry what I have always wished it to be.
I am particularly grateful for Donna Loflin and Linda Holmes, who believed in me; for Gloria Holt and Tom Thorpe, who trained me; for Richard Billings and Joyce Kramer, who inspired me and for Eleanor Fleming and Mary Salama, who collaborated with me. These and all of you, my friends and colleagues in Unity, have helped me in one of these four ways. Thank you.
Many people think that my life is the Unity church, and they also believe that I almost never cry. Unity is indeed my church, but my family is my life. And I cry quite often.
I cry particularly when I think of our daughters who still love and dote on their mom and dad; of sons-in-law who fix my cars, manage my finances and inspire me to be a better man, husband, and father; of grandsons who still think that a wild Friday night is a sleepover with their grandparents; and of Marika, my wife and partner for 45 years, who has compassionately listened to far too many monologues about the challenges of ministry.
So this book is dedicated to all mothers and fathers, daughters and sons, wives and husbands who support and love those who minister in the Unity movement.
