Abbreviations and Language Used in Fillmore Wings

The following are abbreviations used in this study guide:

The Fillmore Wings program pulls from the Correspondence Course materials used by Unity from the 1910s through the 1970s. Much of the language is traditional and some of the language would be inappropriate in our culture today. Also, many of the Bible references are from the King James and the American Standard Bible translation, which is also traditional and somewhat inappropriate in a contemporary setting.

We have chosen to retain the original language so that students will be sure the text is free from modern day misinterpretation. Where we see the original language as being a serious problem, we provide an explanation in a footnote. Where we see the Bible translation as problematic, we have inserted text from the World English Bible.
