Metaphysical meaning of Zalaph (mbd)

Metaphysical meaning of Zalaph (mbd)
Zalaph, za'–laph (Heb.)--breaking; breaking forth; breaking up; fracturing; bruising; wounding; hurting.

Father of Hanun, who helped to repair the wall of Jerusalem after the return from the Babylonian captivity (Neh. 3 :30)

Meta. A breaking forth from, or breaking up of, errors in consciousness, that good may be established. Seeming sorrow and travail in one's being often accompany a breaking up and passing away of established error thoughts, habits and conditions (fracturing, bruising, wounding, hurting), but the outcome is always joy, peace, and greater good: "A woman when she is in travail hath sorrow, because her hour is come: but when she is delivered of the child, she remembereth no more the anguish, for the joy that a man is born into the world."
