a Son of Hezron and father of Amminadab, of the direct descendants of Judah, from whom David was descended (Ruth 4:19). b Son of Jerahmeel, of the tribe of Judah (I Chron. 2:25). Elihu the son of Barachel the Buzzite, of the book of Job, was of the family of Ram (Job 32:2).

Meta. Exalted spiritual understanding in consciousness, exalting God as the source of all true intelligence and wisdom (made high, elevated, lifted up, exalted, extolled, Israelites). Elihu of The Book of Job, who was of the family of Ram, symbolizes the Holy Spirit's entering the consciousness of the individual, or the individual's becoming conscious of the Holy Spirit within him, and being taught by Spirit.
