Shallum, shal'-lum (Heb.)--completion; perfection; restoration; peace; prosperity; gift; reward; restitution; recompense; requital; retribution; punishment.

There were several Israelites by this name (II Kings 15:10; 22:14- and others).

Meta. Thoughts belonging to the real in man (Israelites), that pertain to the law of cause and effect, giving and receiving, sowing and reaping (recompense, perfection, peace, reward, retribution, punishment). "Be not deceived; God is not mocked: for whatsoever a man soweth, that shall he also reap. For he that soweth unto his own flesh shall of the flesh reap corruption; but he that soweth unto the Spirit shall of the Spirit reap eternal life" (Gal. 6:7, 8).
