Metaphysical meaning of Alvah (mbd)
Alvah, al'-vah (Heb.)--sublimation (of evil); sublimity; twisted; pervert; wicked; evil.
A chief of Edom, descended from Esau (Gen. 36:40); in I Chronicles 1:51 he is called Aliah.
Meta. The animal nature in man exalting itself (sublimation of evil). This is evil in the sight of Truth, since true sublimity and exaltation come only by one's unifying the entire being with the spiritual or Christ consciousness.
