Elishaphat, e-lTsh'-a-phat (Heb.)--God of judgment; whom God judges; whom God sets upright; God is defender.

Son of Zichri; he was one of the captains of hundreds, who assisted Jehoiada the priest to dethrone Athaliah and to put Joash, the rightful king, on the throne of Judah (II Chron. 23:1).

Meta. Spiritual judgment and adjustment active in the inner life force of man's organism (the kingdom of Judah represents the inner life force, or vitality).
