Metaphysical meaning of Lotan (mbd)
Lotan, lo'-tan (Heb.)--covered; wrapped up; hidden; secret; dark.
Son of Seir the Horite (Gen. 36:20). He was a chief of the Horites, and his sister Timna was concubine to Eliphaz, Esau's son (see verses 12, 22, and 29 of the 36th chapter of Genesis).
Meta. A secret, hidden, ignorant ruling thought activity in the realm in man that the Horites symbolize. (See HORITES.)
