Metaphysical meaning of Lo-ammi (mbd)
Lo-ammi, lo'-am'-ml (Heb.)--not my people.
A name that Hosea gave to his son to signify the casting off of Israel by Jehovah, because of its sins. "And Jehovah said, Call his name Lo-ammi; for ye are not my people, and I will not be your God" (Hos. 1:9).
Meta. The belief in and the sense of separation from God that come to every individual who allows his true, highest thoughts (Israelites) to become adulterated with the material, limited beliefs of the outer, personal, intellectual, sense man.
