Metaphysical meaning of Ithai (mbd)
Ithai, i'-thai (Heb.)--nearness; companionate; with (God); being; existence; oneself, the same; selfsameness; reality.

"Son of Ribai of Gibeah of the children of Benjamin," a mighty man of the armies, in David's reign (I Chron. 11:31). He is called Ittai in II Samuel 23:29.
Meta. Because God is, I am (being, existence). The awakening of man's inner consciousness to the understanding of his eternal existence in Being, to the knowledge that he has been with God from the beginning, "before the mountains were brought forth... even from everlasting to everlasting."
