Ahilud, a-hi'-lud (Heb.)--brother of a son, i. e., of one who is already born; a brother born; brother of one born or brother of the Lydian.

Father of Jehoshaphat, who was recorder for both David and Solomon (II Sam. 8:16; I Kings 4:3).

Meta. A brother born capacity for fairness; also a protective, brotherly love toward and unity with one's own inner functions, faculties, and powers, and toward all persons in the outer, which enables one to bring forth good judgment --Jehovah judgment. (Jehoshaphat, the son of Ahilud, means judgment of Jehovah.)
