Zeredah (A. V., Zereda, Zeredathah), zer'–e–dah (Heb.)--sharp; cutting; penetrating; piercing; cold; cool; cooling.

A city in Palestine that was the birthplace of Jeroboam.

Meta. As a city of Ephraim, Zeredah bespeaks the sharp, cold, piercing, penetrating nature of the will as expressing in personal consciousness, apart from the very needful balancing faculties of love and wisdom

The Zeredah of II Chronicles 4 :17 has virtually the same significance as the Zarethan of \\ I Kings 7 :46. (See ZARETHAN.)
