Metaphysical meaning of Salmone (mbd)
Salmone, sal-mo'-ne (Gk.)--agitated by the sea; tossing; billow; commotion; of the sea.
A high, rocky point on the eastern shore of the island of Crete. The boat in which Paul was being taken as a prisoner to Rome passed "over against Salmone" (Acts 27:7).
Meta. A very unrested state of thought (agitated by the sea, tossing, commotion).
