Metaphysical meaning of Hassophereth (mbd)
Hassophereth (in A.V., Sophereth), has-soh'-e-reth (Heb.)--the engraver; the scribe; the writer; the enumerator; the recorder; the recounter; the narrator.
A servant of Solomon's, whose descendants returned from the Babylonian captivity (Ezra 2:55). He is called Sophereth in Nehemiah 7: 57.
Meta. That in man which inscribes, engraves, records, or establishes in his memory or subconscious mind all past understanding and events as he goes on to new ideas, new thoughts, and new experiences.
