Metaphysical meaning of desert places (mbd)
Meta. A "desert place" (Matt. 14:13 and Mark 6:31, 32) in the consciousness of man is a seeming lack of substance and life. In Truth desert places do not really exist. Where God is, there is His inexhaustible resource, and God is everywhere present. From the viewpoint of Spirit there is no such thing as lack. When man realizes the quickening power of life, love, and substance he makes the seeming "desert places" in his mind bloom like the rose and bring forth abundantly.
