Metaphysical meaning of Ard (mbd)

Metaphysical meaning of Ard (mbd)
Ard, ärd (Heb.)--fugitive; to flee; wild ass.

Another name for Addar, son of Bela and grandson of Benjamin (Gen. 46:21; Num. 26:40).

Meta. The thought that Ard signifies belongs to the outer or animal phase of consciousness, where fear enters and one runs away (to flee) from seeming evil, or resists it wildly and stubbornly (wild ass), as the case may be, because one fears it. In this phase of consciousness one does not understand that evil is unreal and has no power of itself; when one realizes the truth about seeming evil, one will no longer fear it and it will be dissolved from one's world. (See BELA and ADDAR.)
