Metaphysical meaning of Beth-arabah (mbd)

Metaphysical meaning of Beth-arabah (mbd)
Beth-arabah, beth-ar'-a-bah (Heb.)--house of the desert; house of the barrenness; house of the sterility; house of blackness; house of depression.

a A city in the wilderness, near the Dead Sea, on the border of Judah (Josh. 15:6, 61). b A city of the tribe of Benjamin (Josh. 18:22).

Meta. The "arabah" is the desert, or places in the earthly, physical ideas of substance that have been separated from the indwelling vitality. The cities of Beth-arabah represent places of this kind in consciousness, that need to be lifted into fruitfulness by means of faith (Benjamin) and praise (Judah).
