UNITY BACKGROUND: Started studying Unity 1950 (July 10 to August 4)
The words "Practical Christianity" in your literature led me to take up Unity.
Note: I had promised myself never to go to church again because ray former religious training had stressed and emphasized preparation for going to heaven, after death. Frequently I asked ray parents, "Am I going to heaven when I die?" The answer was, "I don't know." Religion meant to me something I should be able to use here and now, so Practical Christianiyy interested me.
REPORT EXAMINING COMMITTEE
Received Licensed Teacher recognition 1957. Did not pass in 1956. The Committee felt that Flash has a good consciousness about her work and willingness to serve as the Lord directs. She has no thought of independent center ministry at this time.
Her answers to the theological questions were halting in several instances but she seems to have a good understanding of the Unity teaching. It is the opinion of the Committee that she is qualified to become a Licensed Teacher.
