Dara Bermick, Licensed Unity Teacher
Dara Bermick, LUT
Dara Bermick is a Licensed Unity Teacher from Toledo, Ohio. Throughout her 45+ years of studying the Unity teachings of Charles and Myrtle Fillmore, Dara has dedicated herself to sharing the wisdom of Unity authors as both a teacher and speaker. She believes Unity’s spiritual foundation helps us understand the deep mind activity that shapes our experiences of growth and transformation, guiding us to live from our inner Divinity.

Dara has made several contributions to TruthUnity, most recently as the co-contributor for the Fillmore based Christmas Bible Lessons, where you may hear audio recordings of the meditations she composed for the project. You may also click here to hear Dara's audio of Imelda Shanklin's "Prayer of Forgiveness."

Dara began her college studies at Indiana University and worked as a Medical Coder for over ten years. During that time, she advanced to the role of Medical Coding Auditor while also completing an Associate Degree. She later earned certification as a Coding Specialist and audited medical charts throughout the United States. Even while pursuing her professional career, Dara remained deeply committed to the Fillmores’ teachings, integrating spiritual principles into her work and continuing her studies through multiple Unity classes.

After retiring from her auditing career, Dara deepened her commitment to Unity by completing the Licensed Unity Teacher (LUT) program with Unity Worldwide Ministries. She then began teaching and speaking at her home church, Unity of Toledo in Ohio, and expanded her outreach by offering classes on Zoom and speaking at other Unity Centers.

In 2020, Dara also became a Certified Prayer Chaplain Trainer through Light and Love Ministries under founder Lei Lanni Burt. She now trains Prayer Chaplains for Unity of Toledo Spiritual Center. Additionally, she co-facilitates Affirmative Prayer classes, based on the work of author Linda Martella-Whitsett, in collaboration with her minister, a program that has become a vital part of the Center’s spiritual life.

One of Dara’s great joys is teaching the original Fillmore Correspondence Study Program (1902–1972), preserving and sharing the deep spiritual insights of Unity’s early teachings. Her ongoing goal is to continue contributing to Unity Centers, offering her skills as a teacher, trainer, and speaker to help others grow in spiritual understanding.
