Metaphysical meaning of Zebina (mbd)

Metaphysical meaning of Zebina (mbd)
Zebina, ze–bi'–na (Heb.) – getting for oneself; purchase; bought; gain; profit; acquisition; precious possession.

Son of Nebo, an Israelite. He had taken a foreign wife after the return from the Babylonian captivity, but gave her up at Ezra's command (Ezra 10 :43).

Meta. Acquisition, getting for oneself. This is good, so long as one does not let the spirit of acquisition degenerate into selfishness and dishonesty, so long as one exercises it in acquiring that which tends to Christlikeness, to one's eternal good (precious possession), and does not draw to oneself error, limitation, bondage.
