Metaphysical meaning of Scythian (mbd)

Metaphysical meaning of Scythian (mbd)
Scythian, sçyth'-i-an (Gk.)--of or belonging to Scythia; cut off; rough; barbarous; immoderate; fierce-looking; rude; ignorant; degraded.

A name generally applied to the wandering, barbarous tribes of people north of the Black and Caspian seas (Col. 3:11).

Meta. Thoughts of a very low, ignorant, uncultivated, and seemingly warring character (rough, barbarous, rude, ignorant, fierce-looking, degraded). When the "old man" has been put off, however, and the "new man" fully put on, there will be no more Scythians in consciousness, because all one's thoughts will then have been raised to the Christ standard.
