Metaphysical meaning of Beten (mbd)

Metaphysical meaning of Beten (mbd)
Beten, be'-ten (Heb.)--belly; womb; the inmost part; a valley; a swelling; a protuberance; a hill.

A border city of the tribe of Asher (Josh. 19:25).

Meta. Thoughts of generation, from a very low and carnal standpoint (belly, womb, a valley). A swelling, a protuberance, a hill, give the idea of pride, pride in the carnal thought or belief of generation. (A hill, in the meaning of Beten, does not refer to height, but to enlargement, swelling; and swelling bespeaks pride in a carnal sense.)
