Balak, ba'-lak (Heb.) . emptier; waster; spoiler; devastator; destroyer.

A king of Moab who was frightened because of Israel's victories. He fought against Israel and tried to hire Balaam to curse the men of Israel that he might defeat them (Num. 22:2 - 24:25).

Meta. An empty, void, destructive, wasting thought (emptier, devastator, waster, spoiler, destroyer) that rules the carnal mind (Moab).
