Metaphysical meaning of Salu (mbd)

Metaphysical meaning of Salu (mbd)
Salu, sa'-lu (Heb.)--lifted up; weighed; judged; exalted.

A Simeonite. His son Zimri, a prince of his father's house, was slain with a Midianitish woman, by Phinehas (Num. 25:7-14).

Meta. A very exalted thought of judgment, discernment, in the higher, truer phase of man's consciousness (lifted up, exalted, weighed, judged, a man of the Israelitish tribe of Simeon). The fate of Salu's son Zimri shows the inharmonious and disastrous results that ensue when this high ideal attaches itself to or is overcome by the desires and emotions of the sense phase of the human soul.
