Metaphysical meaning of Ornan (mbd)

Metaphysical meaning of Ornan (mbd)
Ornan, or'-nan (Heb.)--strong- active; nimble; tumultuous noise; joyous shout; rejoicing.

It was by the threshing floor of Ornan the Jebusite that the angel of Jehovah stood when David saw him, and when the angel stopped from destroying Jerusalem, at the command of Jehovah. It was there that David offered sacrifices for the Children of Israel. David bought the threshing floor from Ornan (I Chron. 21:1525). In II Samuel 24:16-24 Ornan is called Araunah.

Meta. See ARAUNAH. Then add the thought of the spiritual activity that accompanies the separating of error from good in consciousness (active), and the rejoicing that follows the revealing of the good. This will give you the significance of Ornan.
