Magadan (A. V., Magdala), mag'-a-dan (Gk. fr. Heb.)--elevation; tower; fortress; castle; greatness.

A village on the west shore of the Sea of Galilee (Matt. 15:39). It is thought to have been the birthplace of Mary Magdalene, and is probably the same place as Migdal-el, of Naphtali (Josh. 9:38).
