Metaphysical meaning of Gath-rimmon (mbd)
Gath-rimmon, gath-rlm'-mon (Heb.)--wine press of Rimmon; wine press of the height; wine press of the pomegranate.

A city of Dan; it was given over to the Levites (Josh. 19:45; 21:24).

Meta. The lifting up of the "trial" idea in consciousness (wine press of the height) by seeing the fruitfulness of overcoming (wine press of Rimmon, or of the pomegranate, pomegranate signifying fruitfulness). As man comes into a true understanding of judgment (Dan) through love (Levites) he learns to rejoice in seeming trial because of the good that results from letting go of error and becoming established in Truth. Thus in time every vestige of the trial side of his overcoming will pass away.
