Metaphysical meaning of Ishmerai (mbd)
Ishmerai, ish'-me-rai (Heb.)--whom Jehovah keeps; protection of Jah; preservation of Jehovah; preservative; observance.
A chief man of Benjamin, one of those who were "heads of fathers' houses sthroughout their generations" (I Chron. 8:18, 28).
Meta. Active, obedient faith (observance; a chief man of Benjamin) as a saving, protecting, sustaining quality (preservative, whom Jehovah keeps) in individual consciousness.
