Metaphysical meaning of Maai (mbd)

Metaphysical meaning of Maai (mbd)
Maai, ma'-ai (Heb.)--belly; bowels; womb; inmost part of a thing; heart; affection; mercy; Jah is compassionate.

An Israelite, of the sons of the priests, one of the musicians who assisted at the dedication of the rebuilt wall of Jerusalem (Neh. 12:36).

Meta. Maai bespeaks the tender mercy and compassion of Jehovah (Jah is compassionate, merciful), the Christ or Father-Mind, expressing in man.

The bowels (belly) are closely associated with the idea of compassion and mercy. In I John 3:17 and in Colossians 3:12, in the Authorized, or King James, Version, we read of "bowels of compassion" and "bowels of mercies." (See also Philippians 1:8 and 2:1, in the Authorized Version.) Cruelty of some kind, or else weak, negative, human sympathy, is at the back of bowel troubles. Those who through affirmations of Truth and willingness to do the will of God fill themselves with strong, true, tender, Christ compassion, mercy, and love for all persons and all creatures, including themselves, never have bowel trouble.
