Metaphysical meaning of Jeuel (mbd)

Metaphysical meaning of Jeuel (mbd)
Jeuel (in A. V., Ezra 8:13, Jeiel), jeu'-el (Heb.)--God snatched away; God swept away, i. e., purified a refuge of lies; gathered up of God; treasured of God; collected by God, i. e., united.

a Jeuel, son of Zerah, with six hundred and ninety of his brethren, lived in Jerusalem after returning from the Babylonian captivity (I Chron. 9:6). b Son of Adonikam. He returned with Ezra from the Babylonian captivity (Ezra 8:13).

Meta. The significance is very much like that of Jeiel. Zerah, father of one of the men named Jeuel, is man's first conscious awakening to the inner light of his being. Jeuel is a further awakening by man to his true self, to his divine sonship. Jeuel also signifies the treasuring, unifying, gathering together of this awakening consciousness by God, and its growth, further unfoldment, to the end that the individual may be wholly lifted out of limited, carnal thought into the fullness of the one Mind (God snatched away, God swept away, i. e., purified a refuge of lies). See ADONIKAM.
