Metaphysical meaning of Ethbaal (mbd)
Ethbaal, eth'-ba-al (Heb.)--with Baal, i.e., with the favor or help of Baal; Baal's similitude, i.e., likeness; self-sameness of Baal.
King of the Sidonians, and father of Jezebel, the wife of Ahab, king of Israel (I Kings 16:31).
Meta. A belief that is wholly given over to materiality; it is the ruling, or central thought of the Sidon state of consciousness. (See SIDONIAN.)
