Metaphysical meaning of Bilhah (mbd)

Metaphysical meaning of Bilhah (mbd)
Bilhah, bll'-hah (Heb.)--bashfulness; timidity; tenderness.

a Rachel's handmaid whom she gave to Jacob as his concubine; Bilhah became the mother of Dan and Naphtali (Gen. 30:3-8). b A town of Simeon (I Chron. 4: 29).

Meta. A soul receptivity, or susceptibility, somewhat given to self-abasement (tenderness, timidity, bashfulness; a concubine of Jacob's), which, when unified with the I AM (Jacob) of the unfolding mentality in individual consciousness, brings forth judgment and strength (Dan and Naphtali). These qualities find expression first in the physical or more outer consciousness of man; but their true origin is Spirit, and their spiritual nature and spiritual activity are in due time established.

The town of Simeon, named Bilhah, is also called Baalah. (See BAALAH.)
