The following covers two topics: who can make changes to your website and if you want to display an online directory.
Access to your website:
People who visit your site are one of five types:
- Anonymous users. Your site is public and there is no option to make it accessible only to those with a password. Anonymous users can add comments if you wish, but, as mentioned in the section on Homepage Content, I can turn off that feature if you want.
- Authenticated users. These people can login, make a new entry, add comments, and change their user name and photo.
- Church editor. These can make entries but also have the right to change or delete content create by anyone else.
- Church webmaster. These can edit anything and also have the right to create special pages. Unless you want to add new tabs and new pages, I will be the webmaster. If you have a good computer person, we'll make them webmaster.
- Church administrator. Unless you have a very sophisticated computer user, I am the only administrator. Administrators can do anything, including deleting the whole site.
You will need to give me at least the name, email address and password of the person you wish to be Church editor. If there will be more than one person contributing to this site, give me their name, email address, password.
Online Directory
If you want, you can display pictures and contact info for any or all persons in your church or study group. This is an online directory. Here's how it looks on the UnityWings site. These names appear if there is a photograph uploaded for the name. If there is no photo, they do not appear.
If you don't want the Our Members page at all, let me know and skip to the next section. I'll remove the tab. We can easily add it back later.
If you do want the online directory, then each person needs to be given Authenticated User status and they need to upload a photo. Note that you can just add a first name, you can be funny and add a fictitious photo and note that the person's email address doesn't show.
