Nethaniah, neth-a-ni-ah (Heb.)--given of Jehovah; Jehovah hath given; Jah gives.

a Son of Asaph, and one of the singers in the Temple in David's reign (I Chron. 25:2, 6-12). b One of the Levites whom Jehoshaphat sent to teach the law throughout the cities of Judah (II Chron. 17:8). c Father of Jehudi, whom the princes sent to Baruch to invite him to come and read the "roll" of Jeremiah to them (Jer. 36:14). d The father of Ishmael, who killed Gedeliah, whom the king of Babylon had appointed governor over the cities of Judah (Jer. 41:1-3).

Meta. The individual consciousness awakening to the truth that all blessings, all harmony, all understanding, and all ability to express come from God, through the indwelling Christ, or I AM (given of Jehovah, Jah gives).
