Metaphysical meaning of Epaenetus (mbd)
Epaenetus, ep-æ-ne'-tus (Gk.)--approbation; commendation; praise; praise-worthy.

A Christian at Rome. He was a very dear friend of Paul's: "Salute Epænetus my beloved, who is the firstfruits of Asia unto Christ" (Rom. 16:5).

Meta. The first acceptance of the Christ, or love teaching of the heart, by the hardened, seemingly material, warring thoughts of the head (Rome), in individual consciousness. This is very praiseworthy and it causes great rejoicing in the realm of the word of Truth (Paul).
